Vintage Inspired Styled Bridal Shoot | Tracy, California

I woke up this morning in a rather melancholy mood…I am trying to so hard to not make it one of “those days” but no matter how I try the rain cloud is over my head.
I have been over thinking things too much and coming up with different scenarios of outcomes and maybe I am exhausted of doing that. I will not bore you with my melodramatic mood.

Arghhh…Moving on…Anyways…

I hope your summers are doing well and you are tackling what it is you are tackling. In photography news, I wanted to finally post the latest styled bridal shoot that Kia Gregory put together a few weeks ago on a blistering Thursday evening.

So what is a styled shoot? A styled shoot is where vendors get together to present a client the possibilities (storyboards if you will) for their projects – or in mine and Kia’s case it’s a way to present brides some fabulous bridal dresses, accessories, and color themes for their big day. As a photographer I love showing my future brides how different elements can be put together to create a unified look. Also as a photographer I appreciate a bride’s details because it shows her personality, her spirit, and makes for some timeless pieces and photographs.

Since it was blistering hot that day we waited to shoot later in the evening – which we call the honey hour because it is sunset and gives some romantic lighting…at least I call it romantic.

Angela Fox of Foxy Face Makeup Artistry was our makeup artist for the shoot and our model is Brittany Fee that Kia met through Model Mayhem. Kia has a lovely home nestled near downtown Tracy so we shot around her home and once the night fell we hit the streets of downtown Tracy for a Hollywood glamour look.

Kia will be blogging her images soon and you can click here for her blog. Kia also shot in film and I must say that it brought back some wonderful memories of my days in the darkroom.

Below are some of the images I captured at the shoot.

    SSSSMMMOOOKIN' HOT!

What's up Nelly! I've been intentionally staying away from the blogs for awhile and wanted to see what you've been up to and I'm floored! This session is super hot...but then again, you always rock the camera! Hope all's well and keep lightin' 'em up like this and the next stop is the cover of Vogue!
