Reflections for the day...

Our summer is ending.

During the school year I am a bilingual clerk for a middle school (I'm fluent in Spanish and English)and come next week I will be back in the front office helping parents register their middle schoolers for the 2010-2011 school year.

I can't believe I just typed those numbers...2010-2011.

My oldest son will be in third grade and my youngest is still in preschool as he will be 5 come Christmas (he was born on Christmas Eve) and has to wait another year for kindergarten. My goodness where is the time going?

Anyways, this was my view today...

The boys pause to smile...

aaannnnd get back to what they are doing...

Today, I tried to be in the moment because my head has been preoccupied with other things like my photography business. I sat there and watched the children play and realized how lucky am I that I get to do this? I grabbed my camera as I always do for other people and took pictures of OUR MOMENTS because these moments are fleeting and before you know it I will be typing things like:

"It is 2020 and my son is a senior in high school", and I will sit back and wonder where the time went.

Sometimes as photographers we focus on other people's moments so much that we forget those simple moments in front of us...our family, our friends, our loved ones. It's not just photographers either you can insert any profession really. The beautiful thing about photography is that it captures those moments and tells the story of our lives. So what was your moment today?

Be in the moment, for life is short.

Abrazos y besos my friends...
